  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter (melted)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 cup vegan chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180C/350F and line an 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together melted vegan butter and sugar until fluffy. Add almond milk and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a skewer comes out mostly clean.
  6. Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
