  • 1 (14 oz) can condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar (for caramel)
  • Hot water (for the water bath)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until golden brown and pour it into a baking dish to evenly coat the bottom.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, evaporated milk, condensed milk, and vanilla until smooth. Carefully pour this mixture over the cooled caramel.
  4. Place the baking dish inside a roasting pan and fill with hot water halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
  5. Bake for about 50 minutes or until set. Allow it to cool before refrigerating for at least four hours or overnight.
  6. To serve, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
