  • 16 oz ground beef (85/15)
  • 16 oz Italian sausage
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 14 oz pizza sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup Italian cheese blend
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, eggs, salt, pepper, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese until just mixed.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and sear in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
  4. Remove the meatballs and stir tomato paste and pizza sauce in the same skillet. Return the meatballs to coat them in the sauce.
  5. Transfer everything to a baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
