Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Slice the apples into wedges about 1/2 inch thick, removing the core and seeds. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
  2. Prepare a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture in a third bowl.
  3. Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip into the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat for all slices.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange apple slices in a single layer in the basket and lightly spray with cooking spray. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture before serving warm with caramel sauce or yogurt.
