Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of turkey
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. Flatten each chicken breast to about 1/2 inch thick using a meat mallet.
  3. 3. Layer two slices of turkey and one slice of Swiss cheese on each breast, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks.
  4. 4. Set up a breading station: bowl of flour, bowl with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and a bowl of panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder.
  5. 5. Coat each chicken roll in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in breadcrumbs.
  6. 6. Sear the rolls in a skillet with melted butter until golden brown (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  7. 7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. 8. For the sauce, melt remaining butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, gradually add milk until smooth, then stir in Swiss cheese until melted.
  9. 9. Serve drizzled with the cheesy sauce.
