  • ½ cup mashed banana (about one medium banana)
  • ¼ cup butter (for frosting)
  • 6 tablespoons light brown sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • Dash of salt (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (for frosting)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, salt, egg, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well mixed.
  3. Stir in the mashed banana until fully incorporated.
  4. Add flour and mix until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the center is set. Let cool at room temperature.
  6. For frosting, melt butter in a saucepan until amber in color. Stir in brown sugar, milk, and salt; boil briefly before removing from heat.
  7. After cooling slightly, whisk in vanilla extract and powdered sugar; spread over cooled blondies.
